The 1st Global Power, Energy and Communication Conference, GPECOM2019, was firstly held in Cappadocia in 2019. Although the next ones, GPECOM2020 and GPECOM2021, were also scheduled to be held in-person in Izmir and Antalya respectively, the uncertainties arising from the COVID-19 outbreak forced the Organizing Committee to move the conferences to online. The fourth conference, GPECOM2022, returned to Cappadocia and was conducted in a hybrid mode. The 5th Global Power, Energy and Communication Conference (GPECOM2023), emphasizing the latest technologies, research, and challenges in power electronics, energy systems, and communication technologies, took place on June 14–16, 2023, in Cappadocia, Türkiye.
GPECOM2024, the sixth edition of the conference, was held on June 4–7, 2024, at the Bosch Budapest Innovation Campus in Budapest, Hungary. Following this first edition held abroad, the 7th GPECOM (GPECOM2025) was subsequently held in Bochum, Germany, on June 11–13, 2025..
All GPECOM conference have been technically co-sponsored by IEEE and all proceedings have been published at IEEE Xplore Digital Library. The proceedings of IEEE GPECOM conferences can be found at Persistent Webpage of IEEE for GPECOM conferences. In addition to IEEE Xplore Digital Library, all the conference papers have been indexed at Web of Science Core Collection and Scopus indexes. All collection of GPECOM conferences can be seen at Web of Science (WOS) Core Collection
The purpose of GPECOM2026, 8th Global Power, Energy and Communication Conference, that will be held on June 3-5, 2026 in Naples is to provide opportunity to share the most recent research outcomes in the areas of Power Electronics, Electrical Machines and Drives, Power Generation, Transmission and Distribution, Conventional and recent areas. It is aimed to create a professional network among researchers, academicians, professionals, engineers, and industry on the focused and related research areas of the entire energy infrastructure. Submissions of power, energy, and communication systems research papers presenting the control, modelling, design, integration and applications in technical track (TT) fields are strongly encouraged.
The technical topics of the regular sessions include but are not limited to the following topics:
TT1- Power Electronics, Devices and Controllers
TT2- Electrical Machines and Drives
TT3- Conventional and Renewable Energy Technologies
TT4- Smart Grid Researches and Applications
TT5- Communication Technologies and Researches
GPECOM2026 Paper Submission and Post-Conference Publishing
Prospective authors are invited to electronically submit full papers in English, 6 pages, in pdf format following instructions accessible via www.gpecom.org. Accepted and presented papers will be submitted for inclusion in the IEEE Xplore online digital library, and Web of Science Core Collection.
Up to 20% of the best papers presented at the GPECOM2026 could be eligible for review and publication on the IEEE Transactions on Industry Applications or IEEE Industry Applications Magazine.
All presented papers that focus on power electronics and include experimental validation are eligible for submission to the IEEE Journal on Emerging and Selected Topics in Power Electronics (JESTPE) as a post-conference papers in extended version.
The paper submission and review processes are going to managed via Microsoft Conference Management System (Microsoft CMT) as done in the past GPECOM conferences. The paper submission system can be accessed at https://cmt3.research.microsoft.com/GPECOM2026 address.
